You start by scheduling an appointment for a free consultation. When we have our first meeting we will discuss your ideas and I will make notes or draw some quick sketches to record your requirements.

 

Bring along all your ideas, including sketches, photographs, fabric and trim. I also have books with  fabric samples we can look through.

As we work together to create a design, we’ll discuss the styles that best suit your body type.

  I’ll draw a sketch and give you an estimate, based on the fabric you select, the amount of fabric and the complexity of the work.

 

At this initial meeting I will measure you. It is important to wear undergarment that is similar or the same as what you will wear with the finished garment

 

Once you approve the design of your garment and have selected the type of fabric, I will then collect 50% down to  start the process of construction. The balance is due at the time of pick up.

Within a few days, I will begin work by cutting the fabrics. I cannot change the design after this point without buying more fabric, which will add costs. If you wish to change the design, you must call me within a few days after our consultation meeting. 

We will schedule fitting sessions, ussually is a minimum of 3 fittings, depend of the complexity of your garment. 

 

 

For each fitting, please bring the appropriate undergarments you plan to wear with your garment.

 

 

Any adjustments are marked.

 

 

At this point this should be your final fitting and no further adjustements can be made. The garment will be ready for finishing, unless is a more complex design that more fitting sessions are needed.. 

 

If you need to cancel a fitting , please give me at least 48 hours notice.
